We traveled to San Antonio, Texas recently and had a blast exploring. While we were there we couldn’t help but schedule some styled shoots with our amazing friend Chavah of Vida Chic Events. She lives here in Hawaii now but her business was created in Texas where she’s originally from.
As the Texan she is, she knew of the most gorgeous venues to do the shoot. This shoot took place at Kendall Plantation. We began with details and getting ready photos becoming obsessed with the adorable rooms featuring cow hide rugs and chairs accompanied by pops of color and a vintage bathtub.
With the lush Hawaiian mountain backdrop, this styled shoot from Vanessa Hicks Photography is the epitome of modern romance. The blue and gold color combination looks so dreamy against the rich green landscape. We love the bride’s romantic boho braid, woven with florals. And the gold leafed paper goods are so gorgeous!
NYC couple Roxy and Hal lead busy lives, so when the time came to plan their wedding, they wanted a true escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. Their destination of choice? O’ahu, Hawaii! “We wanted a small, intimate wedding that would also feel like an escape from our busy New York City lifestyle,” says the bride. “Plus, weddings in NYC are ridiculously expensive.” Thankfully, the couple’s family and friends were completely on board with the destination wedding plan.
From Christina Sturgis Photography – “For the inspiration behind this indie romance wedding I knew I wanted something that speaks to me and match up to my personality & genre of photography. My weakness is anything that’s moody: romantic candlelit dinner, string lights, and everything boho.
With the weather in Hawaii rarely dipping below 70 degrees, a white Christmas is certainly not an option, but that doesn’t mean the Christmas spirit isn’t alive. Using traditional Christmas colors combined with the latest wedding trends and the most beautiful live flowers, this dream team put together a stunning Christmas Wedding Inspiration shoot. They truly brought Christmas Cheer to the beautiful island of Hawaii.

So, together with an amazing list of the top vendors here in Hawaii, we made Stephanie’s dream come true!”

Stephanie and Paul are a real-life couple who've been married for about a year. While they love living in Honolulu (Stephanie is professional mermaid on the island of Oahu!), they wanted to redo their wedding photos as they hoped they would've turned out the first time around. So, a team of amazing vendors in Hawaii came together to make the couple's dream come true.
To match the whimsical and elegant nature of a mermaid, Stephanie wore a stunning lace-sleeved dress and remained barefoot throughout the shoot. Instead of a traditional garter, she wore a floral Hawaiian lei around her leg. The couple's sunset photos were just gorgeous!
Relaxed, tropical, and gorgeous are just a few words to describe this dream Hawaiian wedding. Set at Kualoa Regional Park in Honolulu, this stunningly styled shoot was everything you could imagine when you picture paradise. You could even see Mokolii, better known as Chinaman's Hat, in the background of the photos.
An amazing group of vendors came together to bring an intimate reception to life, complete with a colorful floral cake and a beautifully designed tablescape right on the sand. If you're looking for casual destination-wedding inspiration, see the photos ahead!

With temperatures in Hawaii rarely dropping below 70, and not many pine trees in sight, this team of creatives brought a little Christmas spirit to life with this red and green Hawaiian winter wedding inspiration.
A tree-lined path in a local park created the perfect setting for their warm winter style. Choosing a color palette of vibrant reds and greens, they quickly achieved the Christmas vibe they were looking for.
Shot in front of the Koolau Mountain Range in Oahu, Hawaii, (where Jurassic Park was filmed!) this gorgeous shoot is a vision in blue. From a pale blue skirt to shades of blue in flowers and decorations, get ready to be inspired for a fairy tale wedding of your own. Marble surfaces and an antique car complete the whimsical look and make this the perfect dusty blue wedding shoot. This is a wedding ready for the big screen.
From Emi Fujii Photography: “For this tropical styled shoot, I was inspired by the rich punch of colors in Hawaii. The white sandy beaches and soft blue-green waters were the perfect background to make our exotic flowers pop. Picturesque Makapu'u Beach was the ideal location for our styled shoot where we set up the sweetheart table nestled in the plentiful beach naupaka plants. The romantic Hawaiian legend surrounding the naupaka provided a touch of true love and enhanced the feeling of a special escape to paradise. Chavah with VidaChic made the lei haku and the sweetheart table with fragrant alpinia, awapuhi (red ginger), protea, lehua blossom, and bougainvillea.
Snowstorms and rainstorms all over the country have us desperately dreaming of a tropical vacation. Enter this perfectly beautiful styled shoot on the beautiful island of Kailua, Hawaii. Destination brides – this one’s for you! “For this gorgeous garden shoot, we wanted to keep it pretty simple, yet soft and elegant! Maleana Gardens is a newer wedding venue on the island, and as the sun rises right in front of this gorgeous venue at Lanikai beach, we knew we wanted to capture the beautiful morning light. We decided to play off the stunning chandelier of their outdoor cabana, nestled in the lush gardens of Kailua!” Vida Chic Events coordinated the shoot as well as provided the gorgeous flowers.
